Backend Developer Opportunities

We're building a next-gen personal finance app to transform bank transactions into smart insights and goals users act on.

  • Build scalable REST APIs, SQS workers, and Postgres schemas to power the core experience.
  • Implement efficient queries, cursor pagination, Rediscaching, and distributed tracing for high performance.
  • Enforce input validation, structured logs, and secure webhooks to ensure robustness and security.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and evolve Postgres schemas, implement migrations, and enforce efficient queries and cursor pagination.
  2. Collaborate with the Platform/Infra engineer to keep security, performance, and cost in check.
  3. Develop REST APIs from OpenAPI specs and write SQS workers to ingest and process data.
  4. Add tests, docs, and runbooks to ensure quality and maintainability.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of experience building Node/TypeScript backends with Postgres and a queue (SQS/Rabbit/etc.).
  2. Strong grasp of idempotency, retries/backoff, cursor pagination, error design, and API performance.
  3. Proven experience with secure webhooks (signature/HMAC verification) and third-party APIs.
