Job Title: Concept Artist Apprentice

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Concept Artist to join our team as an apprentice and assist in the creation of concept art for video games and animations.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Create concept art using traditional and digital media, collaborating closely with the production team to bring ideas to life.
  2. Liaise with producers, art directors, and game developers to ensure briefs are met and project goals are achieved.
  3. Research current trends and styles in concept art, animation, and game development.
  4. Apply knowledge of design principles to refine and adapt designs as needed.
  5. Use software such as Photoshop, Painter, SketchUp, and Illustrator to create 2D and 3D designs.
  6. Pitch and explain ideas clearly to clients and design teams.
  7. Maintain high-quality work while meeting deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Degree in fine art or related field (desired).
  • Proficiency in Photoshop is required.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and meet expectations.
  • Positive attitude and drive to succeed.

Desirable Skills:

  • Avid gamer and mobile app enthusiast.
  • Portfolio showcasing interesting, stylized characters and environments.
  • Strong foundation in traditional arts: color theory, figure drawing, illustration, background layout, and/or painting.
