Senior Network Engineer: ACI Solutions Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled network engineer to design, implement, and maintain Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions utilizing Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing complex data center networks, working with ACI fabric, and integrating with virtualization and automation platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Cisco ACI fabric-based SDN solutions
  • Configure ACI components: APIC, leaf/spine switches, policies, contracts, EPGs, and tenants
  • Troubleshoot and optimize ACI deployments and fabric connectivity
  • Integrate ACI with third-party systems (e.g., VMware vCenter, firewalls, monitoring tools)
  • Manage data center migrations and network transformations to ACI architecture
  • Develop and maintain ACI-related documentation and runbooks
  • Collaborate with network security and cloud teams to ensure policy enforcement
  • Assist in network automation (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting for ACI API)
  • Monitor and resolve network issues, incidents, and changes via ITIL processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, APIC, and fabric components
  • Good understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS
  • Familiarity with Nexus 9000 series switches (NX-OS/ACI mode)
  • Experience in integrating ACI with VMware (vDS, vCenter)
  • Understanding of multitenancy, VRF, BD, EPG, and contracts in ACI
  • Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Python, REST API, Ansible)
  • Network monitoring tools (e.g., Cisco DCNM, SolarWinds, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

  • Cisco certifications preferred: CCNP Data Center, CCIE Data Center
  • 5–10 years of experience in enterprise networking and 3+ years in Cisco ACI
