Role: Linux System Administrator
Experience: 5+ years
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and location (Gurugram or Hyderabad)
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for system administration, automation, and monitoring to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and outages promptly to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Implement security measures and conduct regular security audits to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement automation strategies using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of various Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) and their command-line interfaces.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl to automate tasks and enhance system efficiency.
- Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to streamline system management.
- Proficiency in using monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus to ensure system health and performance.
- Knowledge of security best practices, including SELinux, firewalls, and vulnerability assessments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
