Port Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned port infrastructure specialist with expertise in designing, building, and managing coastal protection systems for our Madurai project in India.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to contribute to the growth of key coastal infrastructure in the region by applying their knowledge of hydrodynamics, coastal erosion, and sediment transport to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Construction of Breakwater Systems: Lead the design, planning, and construction of rubblemound, vertical, and hybrid breakwaters for protection of port infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Oversee port expansion projects ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Coastal & Marine Engineering: Apply expertise in coastal processes and materials science to optimize breakwater systems and mitigate environmental impact.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with government bodies, environmental agencies, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth execution and compliance with regulatory standards.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in port development, coastal engineering, or related fields.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems including knowledge of coastal processes and materials science.
  • Ability to manage large teams and collaborate across departments to meet project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in challenging coastal environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.E. (Civil Engineering) or equivalent degree.
  • Coastal Engineering Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in the Kerala region or on Indian port development projects.
