Senior Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking a skilled cybersecurity professional to fill the role of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in performing comprehensive security assessments across various platforms.
About the Role- This position involves conducting thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on applications, infrastructure, cloud, and network layers.
- The successful candidate will identify security issues, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities, providing detailed risk analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Perform VAPT on various platforms using industry-standard tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit, OWASP ZAP, Wireshark, and others.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
- Develop high-quality VAPT reports including technical findings and risk-based remediation guidance.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct retesting to verify the effectiveness of implemented security controls.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in VAPT is required.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25, and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell is beneficial.
- Experience with SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and cloud environments is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, eJPT, eCPPT, or similar are desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation and report-writing capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working in BFSI, Telecom, or Technology sectors.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or SOC 2 is advantageous.
VAPT involves identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in computer systems, networks, and applications to evaluate their security posture. This includes assessing the likelihood and potential impact of a security breach, as well as providing recommendations for remediation and mitigation.
