Job Title: API Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned expert to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our API Management Platform using Google Apigee.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of API strategy, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies.

  • Design and implement API Management solutions using Google Apigee Edge/X.
  • Define API strategy, governance, and best practices for internal and external APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design scalable API solutions.
Required Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with Google Apigee (Edge/X/Hybrid).
  • Expertise in designing RESTful and event-driven APIs.
  • Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native principles.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes (GKE), and other integration tools.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop API proxies, shared flows, policies, and integrations using Apigee Edge.
  • Integrate Apigee with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, IAM, and Analytics tools.
  • Establish and enforce security policies including rate limiting, quotas, API key validation, JWT, and mutual TLS.
  • Design CI/CD pipelines and automation for API lifecycle management.
  • Mentor developers and guide teams on best practices in API management and integration.
