Job Title: Junior Data Analyst

Job Summary:
MaxVal is seeking a skilled Junior Data Analyst to join our team. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and reporting patent data errors to stakeholders to minimize risks associated with IP payments. You will also ensure 100% accuracy in data audits with patent office registers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and interpret patent data to identify errors and discrepancies.
  • Report patent data errors to stakeholders to minimize risks associated with IP payments.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in data audits with patent office registers.
  • Manage large datasets using Excel functions such as IF, SUM, INDEX, MATCH, and VLOOKUP.
  • Create simple automations using VBA based on business requirements.
  • Work with large data files and compare datasets.
  • Process vast amounts of data related to business tasks efficiently using spreadsheets, graphs, tables, calculations, and automation.
  • Use advanced Excel formulas to extract, compare, and review large datasets.
  • Conduct timely reviews and analyses of data integrity reports and complete necessary follow-up actions.
  • Perform necessary reconciliations to ensure clients' portfolios are up to date.
  • Review and correct reports related to renewal validation to guarantee proper renewal due generation in the renewal database.
  • Provide excellent support to the operations team regarding clients' IP payment data errors and IP rules for assigned jurisdictions.
  • Analyze data and utilize metrics to report trends.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues within IP payment services.
  • Review quality reports regularly to ensure the system does not miss any renewals.
  • Validate the Portfolio report regularly or quarterly to ensure that any new assets are included and any status changes are updated.
  • Perform all Symphony-related reports and effectively reconcile data to ensure accuracy in renewals.
  • Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of internal systems, databases, tracking tools, timelines, and project plans with project-specific information.
  • Contribute to ongoing development efforts to improve quality, minimize errors and rework, and track performance against service level agreements.
  • Deliver performance goals and targets for response times, closure rates, efficiency, quality, and other predefined team metrics.

Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and data analysis.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and identify errors and discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and utilize metrics to report trends.
  • Proficient in using advanced Excel formulas to extract, compare, and review large datasets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in data audits.
  • Ability to create simple automations using VBA based on business requirements.
