Job Opportunity

This role entails overseeing the technical implementation of assigned client projects, focusing on excellence. You will collaborate with project managers to align with established processes and adhere to quality and safety standards.

  • Apply a strategic approach to address critical decisions, compiling scenarios or alternatives for review and approval.
  • Evaluate and manage technical risks, prioritizing effective project delivery while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide technical expertise, including rotor dynamics and materials science.
  • Communicate effectively, addressing conflicting recommendations and advocating for solutions that balance metrics and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related fields such as systems, chemical, or fluid dynamics engineering, with experience in rotating machinery.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product or system engineering, design development, machine testing, installation, commissioning, operation, repair, upgrade, or similar functions.
  • Familiarity with centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, gas turbines, steam turbines, and electric machinery.
  • Knowledge of system instrumentation, wiring methods, compressor process design, control, and dynamic simulation, piping, and valving.
  • Application of materials, welding, and coating systems, rotor dynamics, aerothermodynamic performance calculation, specification of couplings and gearboxes, vibration analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Industry-standard knowledge relevant to OG markets, such as API, ASME, EU Directives, IEC, CSA, NORSOK, NR, etc.
