Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Manager to oversee our Month-End Closing and Reporting activities in FCM Travel India. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate completion of the month-end close process, prepare financial statements, and deliver insightful financial reports to senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the entire month-end closing process to guarantee accurate recording and reporting of financial data.
  • Supervise the preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
  • Manage general ledger activities to ensure proper recording and reconciliation of all intercompany transactions.
  • Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary financial data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor adherence to the month-end close calendar, ensuring all internal and external reporting deadlines are met.
  • Perform GL-SL reconciliations and identify any variances.
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary on financial results, highlighting key trends and drivers.
  • Create management reports and presentations for senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations based on financial data.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and internal financial policies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Process Improvement
  • Continuously assess and enhance month-end close and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices and automation tools to streamline financial reporting and reduce closing timelines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to financial reporting, ensuring robust internal controls.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to maintain company compliance.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support in month-end closing and reporting tasks.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment that encourages professional development and continuous learning.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CA, CMA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, focusing on month-end closing and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, TINA) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing finance professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
