About the RoleThe Global Head of Procurement will be responsible for establishing long-term partnerships, negotiating large-scale contracts, and ensuring sustainability and cost-efficiency in procurement processes for critical multi-billion dollar energy projects.
Key Responsibilities- Sustainable Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive global procurement framework for large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects.

- Supplier Risk Management: Oversee supplier risk management and ensure business continuity strategies for procurement operations.

- Leadership Experience: 25–30 years of procurement experience, with leadership roles in large engineering/electrical and renewable energy firms with a global footprint.
- Supply Chain Expertise: Proven ability to manage multi-continent supply chains for complex energy projects.
- Vendor Assessment and Partnership: Strong expertise in vendor assessment, supplier partnerships, and contract negotiations.
- Procurement Best Practices: Deep understanding of procurement best practices, cost optimization strategies, and risk mitigation.
- Renewable Energy Knowledge: Global perspective on renewable energy economics, sustainability, and supply chain logistics.
- Communication and Negotiation: High-level communication and negotiation skills, capable of leading cross-functional teams.
- Project Experience: Should have led procurement for green field projects from concept to completion.
- Strategy Team Experience: Should have been part of an apex-level strategy team driving sustainable energy projects.
- Technology Leverage: Prior work experience in a cutting-edge ecosystem leveraging the latest in procurement technology.
- Mega Project Experience: Exposure to mega projects in solar, wind, green hydrogen, or grid-scale energy storage.
- International Trade and Government Contracts: Experience in handling international trade policies and government contracts in renewable energy.
- Certifications: Certifications in procurement strategy, supply chain management, or sustainability practices.
- Advanced Education and Experience: Engineering plus MBA/ICWA with 25 years of experience in similar roles, out of which at least 10 years in a global role with reputed organizations, and hands-on experience in managing global teams and handling multi-billion dollar Capex/green field projects.
