Search Specialist Position

We are seeking an experienced Search Specialist to lead our search engine development and deployment efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement schema for search engines like Apache Solr and/or OpenSearch.
  • Develop and deploy workloads on AWS using ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudFormation or CDK.
  • Conduct CI/CD and automated testing using unit, integration, and performance testing methods.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Apache Solr and/or OpenSearch.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional .NET (C#) development experience.
  • A proven track record of deploying workloads on AWS.
  • A solid understanding of search relevance concepts.

Preferred Skills:

  • Asynchronous patterns and dependency-injection frameworks.
  • Query parsing, clustering, replication.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an individual with expertise in search engine development and deployment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on scalability and reliability. They will be responsible for designing and implementing schema for search engines, developing and deploying workloads on AWS, and conducting CI/CD and automated testing. In addition, they will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of search relevance concepts, as well as preferred skills such as asynchronous patterns and dependency-injection frameworks.
