Network Engineer Job Description

Network engineers design, build, and maintain computer networks. Their main goal is to ensure that data can be transmitted quickly and securely between devices on a network.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement network architectures to meet business needs
  • Migrate existing networks to new technologies, such as SDWAN
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy Meraki SDWAN solutions
  • Configure and manage Meraki SDWAN devices for optimal performance and security
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during and after migration
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams and migration plans
  • Train and mentor junior network engineers on Meraki SDWAN technologies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering, with focus on SDWAN technologies
  • Proven experience with Meraki Switches, Mist Wireless, Zscaler, Cisco Viptela SDWAN, and Cisco Meraki SDWAN/SASE
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching
  • Experience with network security principles and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE, or Meraki certifications, highly desirable

This role requires a strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Meraki Switches, Mist Wireless, Zscaler, Cisco Viptela SDWAN, and Cisco Meraki SDWAN/SASE. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.
