Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coder to join our team. As a Medical Coder, you will play a vital role in reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coding: Review and analyze patient records to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Risk Adjustment Coding: Identify and code chronic conditions accurately to ensure accurate risk adjustment coding.
  • Chart Audits: Conduct thorough chart audits to evaluate documentation insufficiencies and ensure that coded data adhere to internal compliance standards.
  • Query Resolution: Resolve queries with providers or documentation authors when medical records are unclear or missing necessary details.
Required Qualifications:
  • Certification: Hold CPC and/or CRC certification from recognized bodies.
  • Educational Qualifications: Possess a Graduate degree preferably in Life Sciences (B.Sc, B.Pharma, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Nursing etc.).
  • Experience: Typically 1-3 years of coding experience in U.S. healthcare/risk adjustment/HCC/multispecialty coding.
  • Mandatory Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, good analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines.
