We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake and DBT to join our growing data team at IntraEdge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with at least 3 years of experience working with Snowflake and 2 years of hands-on experience with DBT.

Job Description

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building and maintaining data pipelines, optimizing the data architecture, and ensuring data quality across our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reliable, and scalable ETL pipelines using DBT and Snowflake.
  • Data Modeling: Work closely with data analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and design data models in Snowflake that support reporting and analytical needs.
  • Data Warehousing: Design and optimize data storage and retrieval strategies within Snowflake, ensuring high-performance data processing.
  • Automation: Automate routine data pipeline jobs, ensuring data flow is consistent, secure, and optimized.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources (internal and external) into Snowflake, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of Snowflake queries, storage, and data models.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with data scientists, data analysts, and business teams to understand data needs and ensure data systems are aligned with business objectives.
  • Data Quality & Monitoring: Implement data quality checks and maintain high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data pipeline architectures, workflows, and data models to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake as a data engineer, architect, or related role.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with DBT (Data Build Tool), including building and maintaining data transformation workflows.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
  • Experience working with data warehouse solutions, specifically Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with DBT for transforming data, version control, and managing ETL workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, especially in relation to Snowflake.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices for automating deployment and monitoring of data workflows.
  • Knowledge of Data Modeling: Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling and best practices for building scalable, high-performance data models.
