Job Overview

The Data Migration Specialist plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing data migration strategies, spearheading end-to-end execution of data migration activities, and ensuring seamless data quality and governance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Migration Planning & Strategy: Develop the comprehensive data migration strategy, scope, and roadmap in alignment with program objectives and timelines. Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, mapping rules, and transformation logic.
  • Execution & Delivery: Lead the end-to-end execution of data migration activities across all project phases: extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), validation, and reconciliation. Manage migration of master data, transactional data, and historical records from legacy systems to the target platform.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Establish and enforce data quality standards, cleansing procedures, and validation protocols. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of migrated data with regulatory and audit standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data migration, data integration, or data management roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading at least one full-cycle data migration for a major ERP, HCM, or CRM implementation.
  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, BAAN, etc.
