Patent Proofreader Job Description

At Clairvolex, we are seeking a highly skilled Patent Proofreader to join our team. As a Patent Proofreader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of patent documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patent documents for errors in grammar, punctuation, and scientific terms
  • Identify and correct errors in patent applications and issued patents
  • Prepare Certificate of Correction (COC) documents
  • Perform patent term adjustment and expiry calculation reports
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures for proofreading

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in any subject, preferably Science or English
  • Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on patent proofreading experience
  • Excellent knowledge of US patent prosecution life cycle
  • Working knowledge of MS suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Working knowledge of PDF editors like Adobe Acrobat, Nuance, or Nitor
