Senior Java Developer and Technical Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer and Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our technical leadership group, you will play a critical role in leading the design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members while assigning and tracking tasks for closure.
  • Actively contribute to various transformation initiatives such as process maturity, DevOps automation, security vulnerability remediation, and others to achieve project goals.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality applications using Java technologies including Core Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, MySQL database, Postgres database, NPM, Maven, VS Code, and IntelliJ Idea.
  • Collaborate effectively with customer SMEs, onsite, and offshore teams to establish good coordination and communication.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members while ensuring code quality compliance, troubleshooting technical issues, and defect fixes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • JLPT N3 or N2 certification with fluent Japanese language skills.
  • 5-10 years of IT experience in application design, development, testing, and maintenance projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of designing and implementing APIs and integrations in insurance or financial systems.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum principles.
