**Job Description:**

  • We are seeking an experienced cloud infrastructure engineer to manage our high-performance computing (HPC) environments that support research work in data science, computational chemistry, structural biology, and image analysis.
  • This individual will be responsible for installing and maintaining operating systems and application software that support research work.
  • The successful candidate will ensure HPC systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Mandatory Skills: Linux/Unix system administration, experience with Infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Ansible, Docker, or Terraform.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience in cloud computing (preferably AWS), cloud architecture, Kubernetes (EKS), service mesh architectures, Agile development environment, proficiency with job scheduling and resource management tools (SLURM, PBS, LSF, etc.), understanding of networking architecture and security best practices.

  • Certifications: SAFe for Teams certification, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams, effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, IT, or a related field, with hands-on Linux system administration experience.
  • This role requires the ability to continuously upgrade skills and knowledge in line with the evolving scientific computing landscape.
