Cloud Security Expert Role

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and promoting remediation for all assets in the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vulnerability scans and report findings for On-prem and Cloud networks.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Publish vulnerability status reports to senior management and track remediation progress.
  • Define and participate in the implementation of On-prem and Cloud architecture and security controls.
  • Proactively identify threats and risk remediation opportunities.
  • Discover and continuously monitor cloud infrastructure assets to identify security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
  • Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in cloud workloads, including dockers, Kubernetes, and containers.
  • Develop golden images for virtual machines, dockers, and containers to ensure consistency and security.
  • Maintain security by monitoring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs.
  • Upgrade security systems by monitoring the security environment; identifying security gaps; and evaluating and implementing enhancements.
  • Participate in incident response teams and provide technical expertise as needed.
  • Generate metrics and system security reports for management review.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Information Security or Vulnerability Management, with at least 3-5 years of experience in Cloud Security.
  • Proven experience in automation or scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Extensive experience with public cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong expertise in Vulnerability and Threat Management, threat intelligence, and communication materials.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of network security, system security, and endpoint security principles.
  • Experience with security frameworks and regulatory requirements, such as NIST, ISO 27001/2, and SSAE-18.
  • Proficiency with cloud security posture management tools and vulnerability management services.
  • Practical experience with security-related technologies, including SIEM, WAF, AV, firewalls, and internet-facing services.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including strong written and oral communication.
  • Demonstrated understanding of information security concepts, standards, and practices.
  • Certifications, such as CCSK, CCSP, GCSA, or equivalent, are desirable.
  • Results-focused and detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills.
