Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our growing Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for writing and maintaining automated tests, ensuring the highest quality standards across applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of software testing processes, and a proven ability to contribute independently to team goals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests using Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, Postman, and Cucumber frameworks.
  • Develop, enhance, and refactor automation frameworks to ensure scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
  • Write and maintain test cases that cover functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • API Testing:
  • Write automated API tests using RestAssured and Postman for validating RESTful APIs.
  • Create data-driven tests and automate API validation against different environments.
  • Ensure robust API coverage, including edge cases and negative test scenarios.
  • Agile and Continuous Integration (CI/CD):
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Ensure tests are executed as part of the build and deployment processes, reporting the results promptly.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprints, standups, retrospectives) and work in an iterative, fast-paced environment.
  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
  • Exceptional technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyze complex issues and resolve them independently.
  • Ability to debug, isolate, and fix issues in both test code and application code.
  • Experience in performance testing, stress testing, and identifying potential bottlenecks.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
  • Partner with product management, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables.
  • Work closely with developers to design and implement test strategies that support development cycles and meet business requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional communication between engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure everyone is aligned on quality standards and release timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and experience with automation testing tools.
  • Deep understanding of software testing processes and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to contribute independently to team goals and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of mobile test automation tools such as Appium.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in software development and testing.
