Software Developer Engineer II Role

This is a dynamic and challenging opportunity to join our team as a skilled Software Developer Engineer II.

Job Overview:

As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and efficient e-commerce websites using Shopify.

Utilizing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom Shopify themes, ensuring seamless user experiences and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with designers and other developers to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance the overall e-commerce experience.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation standards, leveraging best practices and industry trends.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to the improvement of our development processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify platform updates, APIs, and technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and growth.
  • Contribute to the development of new features, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Shopify developer, with a strong understanding of Liquid, SCSS, and JavaScript (ES6).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with relevant experience in e-commerce development.
  • Experience with metaobject and metafield structuring for complex data structures is advantageous.
  • Portfolio of past projects demonstrating the required skills and experience is highly desirable.
