Software Engineering Lead Analyst Role Overview:

This is a highly technical and collaborative position that requires expertise in designing and developing robust software solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • ID 1: Design and develop distributive applications utilizing COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
  • ID 2: Identify tasks and responsibilities of developing distributive applications.
  • ID 3: Be hands-on in the design and development of robust solutions to hard problems.
  • ID 4: Support other product delivery partners in the successful build, test, and release of solutions.
  • ID 5: Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and deliverables.
  • ID 6: Provide impact analysis for new requirements or changes.
  • ID 7: Responsible for low-level design with the team.
  • ID 8: May lead or manage sizable projects.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study.
  2. 6-8 years of experience in developing mainframe batch and online applications utilizing Cobol, DB2, CICS, JCL, and VSAM.
  3. Mastery of technology skill sets including Mainframe COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, Teradata.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  5. Excellent influencing, negotiation, interpersonal, relationship, time, and project management skills.
  6. Familiarity with agile methodology, including SCRUM team leadership.
  7. Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior-driven development, and specification by example.
