About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team at Granicus. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, automation, and security of our diverse company portfolio. You will have an excellent understanding of full-stack application development, testing, continuous integration, and a passion for security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the software development process by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, automating delivery, and implementing testing
  • Mentor other Engineers
  • Technical leadership for medium to large projects
  • Escalation support for Tier 2 SRE team in addition to internal DevOps needs
  • Provisioning and maintenance of systems, load balancer configs, firewall rules, databases, and other automation driven infrastructure tasks
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy our software

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or relevant experience
  • 6+ years Software Engineering or Operations support
  • Comfortable with various programming languages (ruby, ansible, bash, Perl, python, etc.)
  • Good hands-on experience with Ruby will be preferred
  • Effective communication skills for working across support and engineering departments
  • Excellent Experience with cloud hosting infrastructure such as Amazon AWS, GCP or Microsoft Azure
  • Excellent knowledge of source control management GitHub, GitLab preferred
  • Passion for security and identifying opportunities to improve security and testing
  • Responsible for collaborating with application owners and security vendors to update/tune Very Web Application Firewall (WAF), API Protection, DDoS, DoS and bot mitigation security policies
  • Good understanding of networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, SSL, SMTP, TCP
  • Strong experience working with Akamai's product & services
  • Strong experience in monitoring, alerting for Akamai CDN/WAF/AAP/ASM
  • Strong knowledge of CDN platforms like Akamai, CloudFlare, Imperva (Preferably Akamai)
  • Strong experience in CDN migration
