Electrical Design Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Expert to lead the design, selection, and sizing of motors, drives, and motion systems for semiconductor capital equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles, as well as experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Design AC/DC power distribution systems compliant with NFPA 79, SEMI S22, and relevant UL standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to capture and clarify technical requirements, load/motion integration for new and existing projects.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, and when required, lead a team of engineers.
  • Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable routing diagrams, and BOMs using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Manage and maintain product data in PLM systems.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for control panels, drives, and I/O systems.
  • Support FAT execution, customer acceptance, and TUV or third-party safety audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming languages, such as B&R ControlWare.
  • Experience with simulation software, such as ANSYS or Simulink.
  • Strong understanding of system integration, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
