Job Description

As a key player in the development and modernization of Trivandrum Port, you will contribute to the growth of Kerala's maritime infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for a structural engineer with experience in project management consultancy (PMC) for major port development projects.

The successful candidate will lead structural engineering for port projects, including the design, analysis, and execution of key structural components for port infrastructure such as breakwaters, jetties, quays, docks, and seawalls.

  • Lead Structural Engineering: Oversee the design, analysis, and execution of key structural components for port infrastructure, ensuring high-quality standards for structural integrity and sustainability.
  • Project Management Consultancy (PMC): Provide technical leadership and oversight for the execution of port infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with contractors, consultants, government agencies, and other engineers to ensure seamless coordination and integration of structural designs into the overall project.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on marine and port infrastructure, with significant PMC experience.
  • Post Graduate degree in Structural Engineering, specializing in marine structures or coastal engineering.
  • Proven experience in project management of large-scale port projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, and other tools for design and analysis.

  • Design Optimization: Implement advanced structural engineering principles to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, resilience, and environmental sustainability.
  • Project Documentation & Reporting: Prepare progress reports, design reviews, and technical documentation for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
