ERP Project Specialist Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced ERP project specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance and operations group, you will be responsible for managing major ERP projects from requirements to implementation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of major ERP projects, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, data migration, integration, UAT, and training activities.
  • Technical Expertise: Have in-depth knowledge of D365 finance, project accounting, and Time & Expense modules. Ensure optimal performance of AX 2012 and D365 systems.
  • Business Analysis: Analyze business processes and recommend improvements by configuring AX 2012 and D365 for optimal performance.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Possess expert accounting knowledge and experience with banking automations such as payments, bank reconciliations, and lockboxes.
  • Solution Design: Design configurable solutions instead of customizations to meet business needs.
  • Interface Development: Develop interfaces to other business applications to enhance system integration.
  • System Implementation: Implement system solutions to business problems through design and programming of D365/AX.
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies around Dynamics 365 to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Functional Integration: Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of ERP systems.
  • User Training: Provide user training and support to ensure effective use of ERP systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ Years of Experience: Have at least 8 years of hands-on experience with Dynamics AX or D365 F&O, specifically in finance and project accounting modules.
  • Localization Expertise: Possess extensive experience with localizations around VAT, fixed assets, and statutory reporting.
  • Data Migration: Have experience migrating data from legacy systems into D365/AX.
  • Third-Party System Integration: Be able to integrate third-party systems/ISVs with AX/D365.
  • Financial Reporting: Be proficient with financial reporter and PowerBI tools.
  • Excel Data Skills: Possess strong Excel data skills.
  • Troubleshooting: Be able to troubleshoot issues within AX/D365 application.
  • Independent Work: Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
