Job Title: Senior Assistant General Counsel

Location: Hyderabad, India

Salary: ₹2000000 - ₹3000000 per annum (Based on experience)

Job Description:

This role will support business leaders in Hyderabad and Bangalore by providing high-quality legal services. As a Senior Lawyer, you will collaborate closely with your supervisor and a diverse team of legal experts within Micron's legal department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise across a wide spectrum of legal areas, including Indian Contracts Act, Company's Act, Limited Liability Partnership Act, General Corporate & Governance, Taxation, SEZs, Safety, Environment, Labor, Injury & Dispute Matters, Competition, Governance, Corporate Secretarial, and other regulations at Central, State, and local levels.
  • Provide top-notch well-tailored legal advice to business units contributing to both business and legal teams' success and growth.
  • Participate in the development of policies, procedures, programs, and provide continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters/implications related to business growth opportunities.
  • Assist and work with senior Micron attorneys in Singapore, other countries in Asia, and as needed to ensure compliance with Micron policies and local laws.
  • Serve as a key person in advising site leadership, key stakeholders, as well as team members over time regarding potential changes in regulatory and legislative areas to ensure Micron reacts effectively.
  • You will be required to support/work closely with Micron's business units in Bangalore while also liaising with colleagues in Micron's office in other parts of the country.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable institution with excellent academic credentials. Master of Laws will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 10 years of working experience with some foundation in litigation along with strong extensive corporate experience, including several years in a multinational corporation.
  • Honesty and integrity with the highest standard of ethics are critical.
  • Well-versed in explaining legal issues and offering good legal and commercial advice.
  • Outstanding analytical ability and legal drafting and negotiation skills regarding a broad variety of legal agreements.
  • Confidence to share and propose ideas on legal issues to both internal stakeholders and external counsels/consultants.
  • Excellent communication skills; both in verbal and written English.
  • Candidate must be flexible to relocate per business needs.
