Search Solutions Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Search Solutions Expert to design, develop, and optimize search solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.

The ideal candidate will combine strong software engineering skills with deep knowledge of information retrieval systems.

Responsibilities
  • Implement Advanced Search Functionality: Utilize modern search technologies such as Elasticsearch or Solr to provide efficient and effective search results.
  • Develop Scalable Search Applications: Focus on relevancy, performance, and user experience to create high-quality search applications.
  • Create and Optimize Search Algorithms: Develop ranking models and retrieval methods to improve search accuracy.
  • Build Knowledge Graphs: Create data structures from various corporate data sources to enhance search capabilities.
  • Implement Query Understanding and Relevance Scoring: Fine-tune query understanding, text analysis, and relevance scoring to improve search results.
  • Analyze and Maintain Search Infrastructure: Monitor and maintain existing search infrastructure and applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Design and Execute A/B Tests: Measure search quality improvements by designing and executing A/B tests.
  • Develop Efficient Indexing Strategies: Implement indexing strategies and data preparation pipelines to improve search speed.
  • Implement Machine Learning Models: Develop machine learning models for search ranking to improve accuracy.
  • Discover and Fix Programming Bugs: Identify and resolve programming errors to ensure smooth search operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: In Computer Science, Information Science, or related field.
  • Software Development Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Search Solution Development Experience: 3+ years of experience developing search solutions.
  • Programming Language Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Search Engine Experience: Hands-on experience with search engines like Elasticsearch or Solr.
  • Information Retrieval Concepts: Deep understanding of information retrieval concepts (TF-IDF, BM25, vector search).
  • Databases: Expertise in SQL databases and experience with NoSQL solutions.
  • Text Processing and NLP: Experience with text processing, NLP, and relevance tuning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: In Computer Science or related field.
  • Neural Search Techniques: Knowledge of neural search techniques and vector embeddings.
  • Knowledge Graphs/Graph RAG: Experience with Knowledge Graphs/Graph RAG and related infrastructure (Neo4J etc).
  • Relevance Evaluation Metrics: Familiarity with relevance evaluation metrics (NDCG, MRR, MAP).
  • Large-Scale Distributed Systems: Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Technical Skills
  • Search Engines: Elasticsearch, Solr.
  • Programming Languages: Java, Python, Scala.
  • Databases: SQL, MongoDB.
