Taxation Lead

As a Taxation Lead, you will oversee all taxation-related compliances, including Direct Taxation, GST, Customs, and DGFT. Your role involves working with internal teams to advise on compliance and achieve qualitative outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process owner of overall tax compliance
  • Identifies and leads implementation of process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency in the tax compliance process
  • Ensures timely compliances, maintains documentation and records related to tax filings, provisions, tax accounting, and other tax-related activities
  • Coordinates and handles tax audits and open litigations and communicates outcome to relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborates with other teams to ensure alignment and coordination on tax matters
  • Identifies and implements tax planning and optimization opportunities

To excel in this role, you should possess excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns. You should also have good analytical skills with detail orientation, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and vital skills to optimally apply technology and systems specific to the department required. A qualified chartered accountant/Cost Accountant/Company Secretary/Law Degree with post-qualification experience of 8-10 years in handling tax matters (Direct and Indirect taxation), compliance, and litigation matters is highly desirable.
