Motion Graphics Designer Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Motion Graphics Designer with a strong background in sports broadcast design to join our creative broadcast team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of motion design principles, typography, color theory, and pacing. They will be able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with rapid turnaround.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Design and animate custom motion graphics for horse racing broadcasts, including show opens, transitions, and bumpers.
  2. Collaborate with producers, editors, and sports analysts to translate racing data and narratives into compelling visuals.
  3. Develop graphics templates for fast turnaround and live updates during race events.
  4. Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and network broadcast standards.
  5. Troubleshoot graphics in live broadcast environments and support technical integration with real-time graphics systems.
  6. Maintain a library of reusable templates, assets, and branded elements.
  7. Stay current with industry trends, motion design tools, and sports coverage formats.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in motion graphics design, preferably within sports broadcasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
  • Experience with real-time broadcast graphics platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong grasp of sports design aesthetics, particularly horse racing data (odds, timings, jockey statistics, race cards).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with rapid turnaround.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • A portfolio or demo reel showcasing high-quality motion graphics work, ideally in live or sports television.
