Academic Excellence Coordinator

The role of Academic Excellence Coordinator is pivotal in driving academic success. By overseeing the development and implementation of high-quality lesson plans, this individual ensures effective teaching practices across the school.

This position involves guiding teachers, monitoring instructional strategies, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating with leadership to address performance gaps.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning Oversight:
    • Review and monitor lesson plans from all teachers (Pre-Primary, Primary, and Secondary).
    • Evaluate lesson plans for alignment with modern pedagogical strategies and curriculum standards.
    • Offer targeted feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Teacher Support & Development:
    • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to enhance instructional delivery.
    • Conduct workshops and training sessions to reinforce best teaching methods.
    • Offer subject-specific planning guidance as needed.
  • Classroom Observations:
    • Develop an observation schedule covering all teachers multiple times throughout the year.
    • Conduct formal and informal classroom observations to evaluate teaching effectiveness.
    • Share actionable feedback with teachers to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Reporting & Communication:
    • Prepare regular academic performance and teaching quality reports.
    • Maintain open communication with school leaders to address challenges and track progress.
    • Discuss performance issues and recommend necessary interventions.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure consistent implementation of approved teaching and learning strategies.
    • Identify professional development needs based on observation data and lesson plan reviews.
    • Collaborate with leadership to make informed academic decisions.

Necessary Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree in Education or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 years in an instructional leadership role.
  • Proven ability to integrate technology into academic planning, instruction, and monitoring.
