">Electrical Costing Specialist">
  • Prepare detailed costing models for electronics and electrical systems, including PCBs, cable harnesses, and box builds.
">
  • Strong knowledge of electronics and electrical commodities, including cables, wires, connectors, terminals, MOSFETs, microcontrollers, resistors, capacitors, inductors, transformers, diodes, and op-amps.
">
  • Thorough understanding of SMT, THT, and cable harness manufacturing processes at EMS, as well as testing and inspection methods for PCBAs and cable harnesses.
">
  • Perform teardown and directional costing of competitor products and build-to-spec products.
">
  • Use should-cost data to help the design engineering team adopt a design-to-cost approach.
">
  • Evaluate RM forex indexing and price increase requests from suppliers.
">
  • Assess supplier quotes and provide feedback on technical and commercial proposals in line with should-cost.
">
  • Maintain and update BOMs for all electrical and electronic systems.
">
  • Keep cost models updated based on RM, forex fluctuations, and electronics commodities supply chain dynamics.
">
  • Develop and update costing templates for all electrical and electronic commodities.
">Requirements">
  • BE in Electronics/Electricals with 5-6 years of experience in costing, product development.
">
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
">
  • Costing and process knowledge of electronics and relative secondary processes like plastics injection moulding and sheet metal.
">
  • Experience at EMS is preferred.
">
  • Shop floor experience in any of the commodities mentioned above.

  • Deep understanding of cost engineering basics and interdependencies.
