Sports Journalist Position

Our company is seeking a skilled Sports Journalist to join our team. As a sports journalist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging content that captivates sports fans worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and excellent writing skills. They should be able to craft compelling articles that explore emerging trends, capture breaking news, and deliver rich, insightful features.

  • You'll create 6 well-researched articles daily, maintaining the high standards we're known for.
  • Working six days a week, you'll sync with our US audience schedule to ensure timely, relevant content.
  • Every article you craft will be factually accurate, designed to hook readers from the start, and aligned with our editorial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write high-quality sports-related articles for our website and social media platforms.
  • Conduct research and interviews to gather information for articles.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to uphold quality and brainstorm fresh ideas.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in English, Media/Journalism, or similar discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in sports writing, news content, or similar roles.
  • Strong command of the English language, with the ability to create engaging content.
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS), especially WordPress, is a valuable bonus.
