Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, architect, and implement robust data solutions in a cloud-based environment (GCP). The successful candidate will partner with other data engineers and technical teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of our data systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of BI concepts, related technologies, and a passion for building quality BI software. They will also have advanced experience of building data pipelines and expertise in multiple programming languages including Python, R, Java, SQL, relational databases, ERP, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.

The role involves architecting and building complex data pipelines using advanced cloud data technologies, leading efforts to optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, and defining industry best practices for building data pipelines. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring data security, compliance, and governance standards are met, and partnering with leadership team to define and implement agile and DevOps methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Master's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field
- Extensive knowledge of BI concepts and related technologies
- Advanced experience of building data pipelines
- Expert level understanding of data engineering
- Proactive leadership, project management, time management, and problem-solving skills
