Senior Design Specialist

The role involves leading the design of MEP systems, including plumbing, piping and electrical distribution. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software and 3D modeling tools.
Candidates with experience in designing for Semiconductor facilities, Battery manufacturing and Data centers will be at an advantage.
The selected candidate will report to the Lead Engineer and perform various duties:
- Conduct analysis and design of wet utilities, piping systems or electrical distribution using manual methods and software.
- Prepare flow diagrams, Piping and Instrument diagrams (P&IDs), Design Basis Reports (DBRs) etc., independently.
- Generate calculation reports, material requisitions, service requisitions, technical specifications, bill of quantity (BOQ) and provide input for design drawings during project phases.
- Review and check drawings prepared by designers.
- Participate in conceptual studies and proposals.
- Perform construction administration tasks such as answering RFIs and shop drawing submittals.
- Design plumbing systems based on local and international code requirements, including hot and cold water, sanitary, venting, grease waste, storm water etc.
- Monitor, assess and respond to contractor reports, and assist in evaluating change order proposals related to MEP components of the project.
