Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in test automation, backend validation, and CI/CD integration to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader in asset management and financial services on a long-term engagement.

The role is based in Pune (Hybrid) and focuses on test automation, backend validation, and CI/CD integration in a BFSI environment.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a minimum of 8+ years of experience in SDET with exposure to settlement or capital markets.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of trade life cycle and related financial processes testing.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders during requirement gathering to understand business and functional needs.
  • Translate product requirements into effective test scenarios and test cases.
  • Participate in business requirement discussions and translate them into actionable test strategies.
  • Lead discussions independently to clarify requirements and data dependencies.
  • Work closely with development and product teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to test strategy and planning for new features and enhancements.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
  • Exposure to automation frameworks is a plus, but not the primary focus.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity in requirements and data dependencies.
  • Perform functional automation, assist with unit testing, API testing, security testing, DevOps and performance testing, and stress test activities.
  • Identify ways end-users and consumers will work with the software and help create the best experience possible for the intended user by identifying areas needing continued adjustment.
  • Performing performance, functional, and regression testing.
  • Preparing & maintaining test reports.
  • Mentor the team in automation design, best practices and implementation.
