Scientific Data Curator Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Scientific Data Curator to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in AI-assisted curation, data modeling, and data schema creation & manipulation.

The role involves identifying, curating, and annotating biological datasets from various omics/clinical modalities using APIs and AI tools.

  • A key responsibility will be to automate curation of large interaction datasets decreasing curator workload.
  • Another key area is building fit for purpose conceptual & logical data models.
  • The candidate should have working knowledge of data models, use-case specific schema and standardize biological data using established ontologies and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related field with familiarity in bioinformatics tools and databases for data curation.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python is essential.
  • Skills: Git, basics of prompt engineering, API scrapping & LLM for scientific curation.
  • Acquaintance with healthcare/clinical data exchange standards (OMOP, FHIR, HL7).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for this role.
