Piping Engineer Job Description

As a Piping Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of piping systems for various projects. Key aspects of this position include collaboration with project teams to understand project requirements and objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop piping systems ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical specifications to determine the most suitable piping solutions.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings including isometric and orthographic views.
  • Perform stress analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of piping systems.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of piping systems, reviewing and approving vendor documents and drawings, and conducting site visits and inspections to monitor the installation and performance of piping systems.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Piping Engineer in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of piping design principles, codes, and standards.
  • Proficiency in using piping design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with stress analysis software such as CAESAR II and ANSYS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
