Senior Metallurgist

This is a critical role that oversees the quality control and assurance processes for metallurgical products. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all materials meet the required specifications, and that all production processes are in line with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process setting, forging, and heat treatment, as well as a strong understanding of metallurgy and product testing.

1. Review customer drawings and standards to ensure compliance with material specifications.
2. Validate the feasibility of properties and performance based on existing capability and capacity available in-house.
3. Initiate activities for actual testing before committing to performance.
4. Develop innovative product solutions.
5. Analyze new components, materials, and technologies to evaluate functionalities for all products.
6. Facilitate forging validations and trials independently.
7. Stay conversant with micro-alloyed steel portfolios.
8. Document records for all process/project proposals and associated activities.
9. Check and validate PPAP and control plans for all NPDs.
10. Provide guidance to the team on technical compliance.
11. Experience with quality systems – IATF, ISO, etc.

• Deep knowledge of metallurgy, forging, heat treatment, product testing, and performance mapping.
• Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, etc.
• Experience with ISO/IATF or allied systems.

Minimum 10 years' experience in process setting, forging domain.

Graduation/post-graduation in metallurgy.
