Transforming Underwriting Knowledge

The ideal candidate will take experienced underwriting knowledge and transform it into training materials, playbooks, and quality standards that empower community reviewers to learn the basics of retail/home-loan underwriting and curate AI model responses with high accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Underwriting Fundamentals: Educate non-specialists on key concepts including FOIR/DTI, LTV, income stability, bureau interpretation, documentation hygiene, fraud red flags, and policy exceptions.
    • Curating AI Outputs: Train community reviewers to review model responses, apply rules, correct decisions, add reason codes, and document edge cases.
      • Designing Training Materials: Create short, interactive modules (30–60 minutes) with examples, quizzes, checklists, and local-language handouts to teach anchors how to effectively use AI outputs.
        • Developing Quality Rubrics: Establish acceptance criteria, pass/fail checklists, quick-fix macros, escalation rules, and calibration guidelines to ensure high-quality decision-making.
          • Defining Data Requirements: Identify missing rules and thresholds in cases, draft data-needs specifications for synthetic data generation, and champion ethics and privacy in training and review workflows.

Qualification:

  • 4-8 years of experience in retail/home-loan underwriting (banks/NBFC/MFI) with hands-on decisioning and policy interpretation.
    • Proven training or mentorship experience; comfortable teaching beginners and non-technical learners.
      • Strong grasp of calculations and documents: FOIR/DTI/LTV/EMI, income proofs, bank statements, credit bureau reports.
        • Fluent in English and Telugu.
