Child Emotional Health Specialist

At a leading multidisciplinary practice, we are seeking a highly skilled Child Emotional Health Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work with children and their families to assess emotional and behavioral concerns, provide therapeutic guidance, and help manage challenges such as anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem issues, and school-related stress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Counselling: Conduct assessments to understand children's emotional, social, and behavioral needs. Provide individual and group counselling sessions for children to address concerns like anxiety, stress, mood issues, bullying, and adjustment difficulties.
  • Interventions: Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Mindfulness Practices to support children's growth.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with parents to provide guidance and emotional support strategies, and collaborate with occupational, speech, and behavioural therapists for holistic care.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed case records and progress reports to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Education: Masters degree in Psychology, Counselling, or Clinical Psychology from a recognised institution.
  • Registration: Registration is mandatory.
  • Experience: Experience working with children in educational, clinical, or rehabilitation settings.
