Job Role: Risk and Control Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Risk and Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying and mitigating operational risks within assigned units, ensuring adherence to established processes and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform risk assessments for assigned units, identifying inherent and residual risks associated with processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to discuss findings and agree on time-bound action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Review new products and process amendments, highlighting operational risks and recommending additional controls.
  • Develop and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) for the organization and key functions.
  • Maintain a repository of organizational acceptable risks, issues, and actions, as well as an issue and control library.
  • Enhance the risk control matrix (RCM) for assigned functions during annual internal financial controls reviews.
  • Manage operational risks from material outsourcing activities.
  • Maintain operational loss data and perform root cause analysis of critical and recurring events.
  • Develop training modules to foster risk culture development.
  • Perform branch assurance by visiting branches as per approved plans.
