Logistics Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Syngenta Crop Protection. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy, ensuring seamless operations in Singapore.
About the RoleThis is a challenging opportunity for a professional with 5-10 years of experience in supply chain operations, planning, and logistics management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and planning processes, including warehousing, customs, order management, and customer service. Proficiency in SAP SD/MM and MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is also essential.
The Logistics Operations Manager will lead cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and report on data related to import and export operations, ensuring compliance with customs and government agency regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to manage information from various internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage logistics operations, including transportation planning, inventory management, and customs clearance
- Collaborate with sales representatives to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers
- Monitor performance of transport providers and warehouses, addressing deviations versus agreed service levels
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including customs valuation, country of origin determination, and customs broker management
- 5-10 years of experience in supply chain operations, planning, and logistics management
- Strong understanding of logistics and planning processes, including warehousing, customs, order management, and customer service
- Proficiency in SAP SD/MM and MS Office, particularly MS Excel
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Diploma or university degree in commercial business, international trade, or engineering
