About the Role:

We are seeking a Technical Performance Engineer - Cloud Services to join our team at Encora Inc.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement and drive performance test methodologies, principles, patterns, and practices across multiple parallel initiatives.
  • Apply software design principles and patterns to performance scripts and tests to promote reusability, extensibility, and valid test simulation execution.
  • Define applicable performance metrics and leverage application monitoring tools to capture or convert to bellwether performance metrics that correlate with the targeted system bottleneck.
  • Design, create, and configure performance test scenarios in an enterprise environment.
  • Lead and mentor other engineers on structured, predictable performance engineering techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Source Code Management: Github
  • Performance Tools: JMeter, Grafana K6
  • PE Methodology: analysis, planning, bottleneck analysis, performance analysis for responsiveness, scalability and efficiency
  • Cloud Service Providers: AWS
  • Computer Languages: Java, Javascript, Python
  • DevOps automation
  • Performance Models: Little's Law, Universal Scalability Law, Amdahl's Law
