Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in the development of innovative ecosystem modelling solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills, specifically in Python, with extensive experience in data science and environmental modelling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing ecosystem models using Python
  • Collaborating with senior modellers to translate scientific requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Maintaining high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability

Requirements:

  • Advanced programming skills in Python, including proficiency with scientific libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, GeoPandas)
  • Environmental modelling experience, particularly with ecosystem models or related areas
  • Extensive experience with machine learning techniques and their application to environmental data

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Bayesian methods and data assimilation frameworks
  • Familiarity with soil carbon and crop growth models, as well as integrated agricultural system models
