Senior Automotive Hood Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled BIW Bonnet Design Lead to drive innovation in vehicle architecture and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a design specialist who can develop and refine 3D CAD models, ensure compliance with pedestrian protection regulations, and integrate multiple systems.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop hood outer panels, inner reinforcements, hinges, latches, and strikers using Catia software.
- Collaborate with teams in BIW, sealing, latching, thermal management, and styling to ensure proper integration.
- Develop strong knowledge of tooling feasibility, material selection (steel, aluminum, composites), and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain sound knowledge of engineering and system documents like DFMEA, DVP, DFA etc.
- Education:
- B.E (Mechanical / Automobile) degree with 3-10 years of experience.

- Skill Requirements:
- Proven experience in BIW bonnet or closure system design.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal, GD&T, packaging, and tooling constraints.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (Catia V5/V6, NX, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
