We are seeking a highly skilled Digital VFX Trainer to join our team of experts in the field of visual effects.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive training on Houdini software for film and advertising needs, focusing on RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.

This role involves teaching artists the right techniques to create convincing results for clients, providing solutions for integration from Houdini to Autodesk Maya and Blender or vice versa, and offering effective coaching to enhance individual skills.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a VFX Supervisor, knowledge of the overall VFX workflow, and at least 5 years of experience working with Houdini.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series
  • Knowledge of the overall VFX workflow and understanding of the production process
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Houdini
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles (Nuke preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of the Blender workflow is a plus
  • Solid understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Artistic skills with a high attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm and creativity
  • Proficiency in the English language
