Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned operational leader to oversee the in-country delivery of our India strategy. As the most senior representative in India, you will lead the local office, maintain statutory compliance, and ensure seamless collaboration with international colleagues.

This role involves managing a talented team of 11, overseeing budgeting, financial planning and reporting across all business units, and leading the development of the Bengaluru-based team. You will also be responsible for delivering against a mission-led strategy focused on professional development, engineering excellence, and social impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Operate as legal representative and Director for all Indian entities, ensuring local laws and internal policies are upheld.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, team management, financial planning and reporting across all business units.
  • Team Development: Lead and develop the Bengaluru-based team; mentor managers and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Strategy Delivery: Deliver against a mission-led strategy focused on professional development, engineering excellence, and social impact.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with international teams to ensure operational alignment.
  • Representation: Represent the organisation with confidence in legal, governance, and business forums.
About You
  • Operational Experience: Proven operational leadership in India - ideally in a professional membership body, association or similarly regulated environment.
  • Governance and Compliance: Exceptional understanding of governance, compliance, and HR practices.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to drive strategy with warmth, rigour and agility.
  • Leadership: Line management experience with the gravitas to lead national delivery.
