At the forefront of medical communications, we are seeking a visionary Medical Communications Director. As a leader in our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic approach to delivering high-quality content that resonates with our clients.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, with expertise in medico-marketing/marketing communications. A strong background in medical writing, particularly in scientific manuscripts, medical marketing collateral, and educational content, is essential.

We are looking for someone with exceptional leadership skills, able to guide a team of medical content writers and cross-functional teams in scope of work, while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and scientific rigor of all content. Your ability to adapt to diverse target audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and regulatory authorities, will be crucial.

A minimum of 5+ years of experience in medical communications, medical writing, or a related field, along with 2+ years as a people manager/team lead, is required. A Master's degree in a relevant field is mandatory, while an advanced degree (e.g., PhD) is a plus.

Skillset:

  • Content Development: Ability to read and understand project briefs, guide content writers, and cross-functional teams on scope of work. Research, write, and edit wide range of medical communication materials.
  • Scientific Accuracy: Must have deeper understanding of medical science (subject matter expert) and ensure accuracy, integrity, and scientific rigor of all content.
  • Audience Adaptation: Write/adapt/customize content to diverse target audiences while maintaining scientific integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams, including medical experts, graphic designers, digital coding experts, project managers, and clients & client servicing teams.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in relevant field (e.g., life sciences, pharmacy). Advanced degrees (e.g., PhD) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in medical communications, medical writing, or related field and 2+ years as people manager/team lead. This is must.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, including knowledge of clinical trials, drug development, regulatory processes, and marketing activities.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with ability to convey complex scientific concepts in clear and engaging manner.
